We are writing this to regretfully inform you that Foundations for Divergent Minds (FDM) will no longer be presenting at the 2018 Division of Early Childhood (DEC) National Conference in Orlando, Florida this week.

Despite being approved via their established, peer-reviewed process, our adherence to all conference guidelines, and meeting every registration, payment, and confirmation deadline, we have been informed (on a weekend and less than 48 hours before our scheduled arrival) that our presentation has been canceled as a result of a logistical issue that is solely due to DEC staff errors.

We are disappointed with the untimely, unprofessional, and discriminatory manner in which this situation has been handled by DEC as well as the financial loss FDM will incur due to this abrupt and unjustified cancellation. However, FDM remains committed to our mission and will continue doing the work that we wholeheartedly believe in to transform the lives of our community.

Despite this disappointment, we are already actively pursuing other opportunities (including other conferences) where we will be able to share our philosophy and our work with the public.

We apologize profusely for this unfortunate update and wish things were different; sadly, this situation is beyond our control. We truly appreciate the continued support of all of you – our amazing community.
