Contract Education Specialist
Project Summary:
Foundations for Divergent Minds will be creating a scenario-based, interactive course to teach the Divergent Minds framework. The scenarios will help teachers identify the underlying sensory and executive functioning needs as well as the accommodations, supports, and goals to address the concerns. The course will be an errorless environment where the educator will read a scenario, answer question(s), and then be presented with a video lesson explaining the correct answer.
Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking to contract with a Texas educator to ensure the scenarios are based in real-life experience and align to TEKS standards. The educator would be working with the project lead and e-learning specialist to create scenarios and ensure measurable progress in learning the course material. Preference for Dallas- or Plano-based educators with an understanding of Neurodiversity-aligned and Neurodiversity-affirming practices. In addition, the educator will work with the project lead to register as a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) provider to offer CPEs on this course. FDM prioritizes the hiring of multiply marginalized neurodivergent people.
